As well as scanning, keep an eye on the damage numbers - you want them to be a hue of red. If it's white, that's average - but if it's closer to blue then you need to switch weapon. Watch carefully and use the right kind of gear for each fight. When the Stamina bar is almost empty, release circle and tap it again or press in the left stick again. Noctis will flash green and the stamina bar will instantly top up again, right to the top.
Very handy - but you really need the stamina bar turned on to do it reliably, thus this tip. Television generally means the intergrated speakers. I don't see how anyone can factually tell you which sounds best on your setup. It's like asking for someone else's TV configuration. You're browsing the GameFAQs Message Boards as a guest. Also of note, your choice could also impact the sound quality of your favorite gaming headset. If you're using a headset like the Logitech G533 for FFXV Windows Edition, you're going to want to choose the home theater option since that headset is set up for surround sound. However, if you're playing FFXV Royal Edition on console and using a lower-end headset or one built for stereo, you're going to want to choose display for the best audio quality. Ultimately, this question in Final Fantasy 15 comes down to your sound setup -- not the type of display you're using.
This means that whenever you want to level up, you need to rest somewhere. Resting at campgrounds also allows Ignis to cook something, which raises his cooking skill. You can get bonus damage from hitting an enemy from behind, this is called Blindside.

Accessories can raise stats, provide extra bonuses to abilities, block certain status effects, and more. Press the Technique button while in combat to bring up your party members' techniques. Phase allows you to swiftly dodge attacks and come back with a counter-attack. It also stops time while you stand still to give you time to come up with a strategy.

You can read this post to find out why the game was delayed and what the extra time allows Square Enix to do. Literally just realized something awesome yesterday. Can't attack, jump, etc., but looks so fun with the group. I tried it in the massive lake next to the meteor in Duscae.

Don't worry too much if you're inclined to skip - the game does a great job of explaining stuff as you go. If you get into the game and feel lost you can also access the tutorial at any time from the pause menu, so skip it at the top and only go to it if you feel that you need it. As for Final Fantasy XV, the long-in-development game is slated to arrive on November 29. The game was originally scheduled to come out in September but was recently delayed.
You can also cause a target to become Vulnerable when hitting certain parts, or using certain attacks. The game throws a lot of warnings in your face along the lines of 'once you initiate this story mission, you can't go back' - and that's true. As described over in our full review of FF15 proper, the game has plenty of side quests though their design varies from excellent down to pretty mediocre pretty wildly.
Final Fantasy 15 tips: 9 essential tricks you should know before starting
Because my Chocobo often kicks enemies down cliffs, and it's hilarious to watch. Prompto even took a creepy picture of five of them all glowing in the dark woods. If you're into Bethesda and CD Projekt Red's huge, open-world RPGs, where there are sidequests every ten feet or so, then this is the game for you. If you liked FFXII, this is like that amped up on steroids. Nine hours in, and I've only just made it to Galdin Quay, but I honestly can't help it. If Iggy is driving me around and I see a treasure or a car broken down on the side of the road, I have to get out and check it out.

Outside of VG247 he's the co-founder of genre-dedicated website RPG Site. He also collects original arcade machines, Lego, and considers himself a whisky buff. PC players have had an even longer wait for Final Fantasy 15 than the console players - and they had to wait the better part of a decade as its seemingly rather intense and rocky development played out. The game is sprawling - there's quite a lot to do in the world of Eos.
FF15 uses an interesting way of processing experience earned through questing and fighting - all experience gained must be 'banked' by sleeping. This can either be by making camp or by staying somewhere more swanky, such as a hotel. There are skills here that allow you to get AP for driving and riding Chocobos - something you'll be doing a lot - as well as for side activities such as fishing. If you fall in love with the fishing mini-game, for instance, grab this skill. It'll net you more AP to get the actual good stuff and pay itself off in no time. It'd be easy to focus your efforts here on the tabs of the menu that give Noctis and his friends all-new moves in combat, but don't sleep on the 'Exploration' wing of the Ascension menu.
This is a green bar on the left of the screen and is required to perform Techniques. You can even craft magic using Elemancy while in battle, more on that later. Locking on to an enemy will perform a Warp-strike when you press the Warp Button. Wait allows you to stop time while you lock on an enemy to scan it. This will bring u p their strengths and weaknesses, so you know how you should attack.
As you battle you gain not only experience, but AP as well. You can use this AP to unlock several bonuses on the Ascension board. Each party member, besides Noctis, has a Technique they can equip. You do this from the gear section just like weapons and accessories. The fights are real-time, meaning you don't take turns to perform actions like in many games in the series.
I created the Chocobo Rangers™ as soon as I found mine. Noctis is fuschia, Gladio is red, Ignis is the brighter green, Prompto is white. Named mine "Patches," in honor of the best backstabbing bro in the Souls series.
There are 2 modes of the battle system -- Active and Wait. If you are just getting started and don't know about a lot of what's in the game, I got you covered. There are some things that are not apparent even after going through most of the game, so be sure to check this out even if you think you have a firm grasp on what Final Fantasy 15 has to offer.
